On January 31, 2024 just two weeks after celebrating her 95th birthday, Gloria passed away at home where she was surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was one of eight children born to Michael and Maria Alfano. She was born in Newark, NJ before moving to Union with her beloved husband, Joseph.

She worked many years for Prudential Insurance Company as a purchasing agent which afforded her many opportunities to travel. She shared her love of travel with her husband, Joseph for over 50 years.

Gloria is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph. She is also predeceased by her seven siblings, Anna and husband Dominic, Lee and husband Nicholas, Eleanor and husband Ralph, Nicholas and wife Josephine, Michael, Gerard, and Jeanette and husband Fred. She is survived by her 2 sister in laws, Ceil and Angela and many loving nieces and nephews who will miss her a great deal.

Gloria spent her later years in North Carolina enjoying the warm weather, club house activities, and playing games with her new found friends. She lived her best life and will be missed by all for her generous and kind heart.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 16, 2024, 10:00am at St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
