Obituary of Barbara M Frankosky

Barbara Mary Frankosky, 88 passed away on January 2, 2024, at her home in Basking Ridge New Jersey.

A Memorial service will be held on April 6, 2024 at Bishop Janes United Methodist Church at 11:00 am in Basking Ridge, NJ with Reverend David Tillisch officiating. A repast will be held immediately after at the church.  

Barbara was born in Brooklyn NY to Henry and Hermina Otten on November 17, 1935. She graduated from Bernardsville High School in 1953 and was a member of Local 1262 of NJ, United Food & Commercial Workers International Union. She attended Bishop Janes United Methodist Church and was active for many years in the Piecemakers quilting group that was part of the church. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved dogs, adopting several rescue dogs over the years.

She is survived by her daughters; Holly Cramer, her husband Bob from Basking Ridge, NJ, Laury Applegate, her husband Nick from Sturbridge MA, and a son Gary Frankosky, his wife Lori from Litchfield, SC, her brothers Richard Otten, his wife Laura from Bridgewater NJ, and Edward Otten from Swiftwater, PA.  She had six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Frankosky who passed in 1983, and her brother James Otten who passed in 2022.
