Peter C. Stratakis passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 16, 2023. He was 97 years old. Peter was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 3, 1926 to Katherine and Christus Stratakis.

He is predeceased by his wife Doris and his brother Nicholas and is survived by his sister Anne Beratis and children Keith (Judy) Spero and Karen (Tom) Hosbach. He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. After his stint in WW2 as a Military Policeman, Peter went on to serve in the New York City Police Department, retiring as a Captain in 1973. Peter’s easy going demeanor and youthful personality made him a joy to be around. He loved to play golf and was fortunate to play up until the age of 96. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
