Obituary of Dwight F. Weaver

Dwight F. Weaver, 84, of Little Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, passed away on October 1, 2023.

Visitation will be held at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 pm.  Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home  on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:00 am with Pastor Jason Rios of the Tuckerton United Methodist Church officiating. Dwight was born in Waynesboro, VA to Franklin and Katie Grove Weaver on August 26, 1939 and resided in Bernardsville, NJ with his family for over 40 years.  He owned his own carpentry business and was an avid and talented woodworker, a skilled carpenter and well known craftsman in the local area for many years . He enjoyed playing softball and was an accomplished fastpitch softball pitcher, winning state championships. He enjoyed bowling and played in a league for many years. Dwight loved spending his retirement living at the New Jersey shore and loved boating and spending time with his family. Dwight was a member of the Tuckerton United Methodist Church.

Dwight is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Judith (Jordan) his son, Dwight and his wife Jennifer (Rubbo) his daughter Dawn and her husband Scott Carruth, nephew Robert Jordan and wife Bonnie (Liesch) grandchildren Jacob and Adam Weaver and John Carruth, niece Katrina (Jordan) DiLollo and husband Jeffrey and nephew Robert Jordan and his wife Emilie (Salerno).  Two brothers; Oliver and his wife Freda and Daniel and his wife Francis and three sisters Alice (Charles Boppe, deceased), Magdalene and her husband James Brenneman and Orpha (Darrell Beyeler, deceased)  and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marion.
