Obituary of Mina Antipatis
Mina Antipatis, beloved teacher, mother, grandmother and wife to the love of her life, Christos passed away peacefully at home. Born in Patras, Greece and educated in Athens, she came to New York on the ship Italia with a deep knowledge of Classics and a dream.
Over the next 50 years she inspired countless students, lead charities, volunteered at church, raised a family, took care of everyone and didn’t break a sweat. She wrote plays, gave speeches and had a great sense of direction. She made both of her children learn piano but only one of them was good at it.
Mina married her darling Christos and they adored each other until the end of his life. He was handsome, she was pretty, he was cool, she was witty, he was tall, she was not, as soon as he saw her he thought she was hot. She could cook and so could he and everyone said that they fit to a tee.

Mina will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida with her beloved Christos who served at the Berlin Wall during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We didn’t hear about that until we were in our twenties when he mentioned it in passing.
They leave behind their children, Evelyn and Peter, Stuart and Jessica and grandchildren Christos and Raegan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 3:00-5:00pm at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge,NJ. The service will be at 4:30pm.
