Dear Joe and Jim,
I am so sorry for your loss. Marion was a very special person. I met her the year my family moved to Basking Ridge when I started 2nd grade at Oak Street School. I will always remember how she would organize inter-class kickball games, and encouraged us all to be involved.
During my years at Cedar Hill School, William Annin Jr. High, and Ridge High School (RHS), I was fortunate to have gotten to know Marion better. When I attended RHS, Marion provided the warm smile that greeted everyone who visited the main office. Even when I was called to see the principal, I never got too concerned because Marion had a way to make you feel like everything was going to be all right. She was a wonderful person, and she will be sorely missed!
I hope your warm memories of Marion will ease your pain during this difficult time. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

As a new RHS staff member in the fall of 1997, Marion embraced me as the cheerleading coach and kept me under her wing. No question was ever bothersome and she always greeted me with a smile. She and "Sam Gram" were a fantastic team in the AD's office and Marion made sure it ran smoothly. We never had to worry about anything because Marion was at the helm. May she rest in eternal peace, and may her family take comfort in knowing that she will always be remembered fondly.

We had the pleasure of living across the street from Marion & Joe for over 40 years in Basking Ridge. We could always depend on Marion to keep an eye on our house (with Ginger's help of course), and we would react in kind - that's what good neighbors do.
I traded literary barbs over the years with Marion, but she was always one step ahead of me; I could never come out ahead. What fun exchanges we often had!
Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Joe, Jim and family - we will miss Marion terribly.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Mom L was a very special person and she made me feel special every time I had a chance to interact with her. The words that she wrote in my yearbook meant so much to me - she encouraged me and believed in me. I will never forget the impact she had on my life.

I’m saddened at the news that Marion has passed from this world. I first met her in 1975 when her son James was a 3rd grade student in my classroom at Liberty Corner School. I had the pleasure of knowing her during our careers in the Bernards Township School System. She will be remembered fondly by all those whose life she touched.
