Obituary of Adrienne Marie Wimley

Adrienne M. Wimley, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Adrienne was born in Newark, NJ to the late Michael and Eleanor Williams. Adrienne was a long time resident of Basking Ridge where she raised five children with her husband, Carl Wimley, who predeceased her in 2013. She owned a successful women’s clothing store, Adrienne’s Place, in Bernardsville, NJ for over 30 years. She had a beautiful singing voice and was active in regional theater. Adrienne loved spending time at the Jersey shore with her family and antiquing with her husband on weekends.

Adrienne’s greatest joy was her children. Nothing meant more to her than celebrating the holidays with all her children and their spouses: Sherry Fox and Brett Lief, Lee Ann Wimley, Betty and Dan Owen, Linda and Tim Ingling, and CJ and Valerie Wimley. She found great joy in her grandchildren – Kevin Owen, Danielle Owen (Jason Rubenstein), Kerry Wimley, Michael Ingling, Kyle Wimley (Erin Smyth), and
Andrew Ingling. She was also thrilled to welcome her first great-grandchild “Orrie” (Owen Rhodes Rubenstein) last September.

Adrienne was predeceased by her two sisters, Angel Trim and Sue Seivert.
