Obituary of Loretta A Romano

Loretta Ann Romano, Age 93, of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away on February 28, 2023 in Naples, Florida.

The funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Chapel, Bernards Avenue, Bernardsville, NJ 07924 on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 10:00 am with Father Jay officiating.  The Burial will follow at St Vincent Martyr Cemetery in Madison, NJ.  Visitation will be held at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4pm – 7pm.

Loretta was born in Morristown, NJ to Josephine and Lorence Mainiero on June 27, 1930.  She went to Morristown High School and graduated in 1948.  

Loretta is survived by her four children: David, Thomas, Louis, and Lisa; her four grandchildren Diane, Camille, Jack and Emily; and her 2 great grandchildren Miles and Graham.  She is preceded in death by her husband Louis, and her daughter Loren.

Loretta was a homemaker, and an active parishioner at St. James Roman Catholic Church for 45 years, where she participated in  several ministries including the Music Ministry, The Rosary Alter Society, and multiple fundraisers for St James Catholic grade school.
