I’ll never forget my grandfather. He was always such an intelligent figure I could look up to in my life. He taught me the importance in sticking to one’s beliefs and doing everything in life to the best of one’s abilities. He always took the time to play games with me. I remember the hours long water fights we’d have in the pool, but I’m also pretty sure he cheated most of the time. I remember sitting out on the porch and watching him grill chicken for us. I’ve never met someone who knew how to cook things as perfectly as him. I remember him falling asleep while we would watch movies he didn’t find interesting, only to pretend he was paying attention when woken up. Above all, I remember my grandpa for his devotion to his family and his wife, my grandma. They showed me what love looked like as through all their years in marriage they still looked at each other like they had just gotten married. He lived a full life and I’m so happy I was able to be part of it.
