Charles Frank Fortenbacker, 61, passed away on December 1, 2022 at his home in Lebanon Township, New Jersey. Charlie grew up in Basking Ridge and was a graduate of Ridge High School Class of 1979.

Charlie began working as an electrician for Basking Ridge Electric in 1979, a business started by his grandfather. He took over the business in 2015 upon the passing of his Uncle Frank Ansede.

Anyone who knew Charlie knew his passion for his family above all else. He cherished his time hosting Holiday dinners, summer barbeques and trips to the Jersey shore. Being on the Lebanon Township Park Committee was one of his greatest joys. He could always be found volunteering his services whether electrical, cooking or selling tickets.

Charlie was predeceased by his father Charles and is survived by his three daughters, Katelynn, Meghan (Sean), and Melissa, his mother Carmen, brother Craig as well as his longtime companion Joann, nephews Connor and Zachary, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts & Uncles, along with his dog Bongo. He leaves behind many friends who he always enjoyed spending time with all year long.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday Dec 6 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finely Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ.

A funeral Mass will be held on Dec. 7^th at 11:00 at St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church, 398 County Road 513, Califon, NJ 07830.
