Leon W. Michalowicz, 81, passed away at his home in Basking Ridge on Nov. 28, 2022.

Mr. Michalowicz was born and raised int Pittsburg, Pa., where he attended and graduated from the University of Pittsburg with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating, he worked for Union Carbide as a purchasing agent and later worked for Foster Wheeler as a senior buyer.

Leon was a communicant at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Stirling NJ. He was a past member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Summit Planning Board and served as the Chairman of the Department of Engineering at the University of Pittsburg.

Leon is survived by daughters, Kathleen and Patricia and a son Michael. Also surviving are his 2 grandchildren, Nicholas, and Julianna. He was predeceased by his two wives, Martha, and Esther.

A memorial mass is scheduled for Dec. 10th at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul church in Stirling NJ.
