Uncle Dave...Thank you so much for treating me as another daughter. Both Aunt Pat and you always welcomed me with open arms. I have so many wonderful childhood memories and they always revolve around your family. Who could ever forget the chocolate cream pie fight at Thanksgiving that both of you found funny even though there was pie all over your house? Or the fact that you with a football helmet on were the only one that would teach Aunt Bea how to drive? You will be greatly missed but I am very happy to know that you are with Aunt Pat again. All my love...Deb

I knew Dave in several ways...through the kids who were my students and through my many contacts with the Jaycees. I think Rich Ledder and I painted the house once. Dave was a great guy and the head of a fine family. I always enjoyed his company. I am sorry for your loss.

36 Years ago today, Dave saved the day again as he always did for everyone he knew. Rich and I were getting married at 11am and when we got back to the house for the reception lunch, Dave asked, "Where's the beer?" I said' "At noon?????" Off he went. He returned with a keg of beer and glasses for everyone along with the tub and ice. He was a manager of Charlie Brown's resturant back then and there just happened to be on in Upper Montclair where I lived. I was amazed at the short time he took to fix our oversight. I think everyone enjoyed the beer!! Pat and Dave were always so much fun. They looked out for us and really guided us along the way. Their door was always open. One day I had to leave work because of a bad situation. I knocked on their door in the middle of the day. They sat me down and got me to tell them what was going on. Hours later they helped me make important decisions about the situation and sent me on my way back to work ready to face it. I will miss them both but just temporarily...I will see them again in glory with the rest of our departed loved ones. :)

Dear King Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was the first person to hire me at my job at Charlie Browns and we had many great times together. He was, as they say, a good guy that would do anything for you. I'm away on business but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
