Obituary of Api Ahluwalia

Api Maneet Ahluwalia, of Jersey City, passed peacefully on July 5, 2022, with beloved husband Narinder Singh Ahluwalia and daughter Simran Safer by her side.

Graceful, accomplished, and steady, secure in her ability to build grand relationships and maintain them throughout a lifetime. Api touched so many lives, in so many ways and the warmth of her presence will be missed by all. Her dear friend Julliette Abrams described her best: “ Some people have special
sunlight within. She was one of these.”

Those left to cherish her memory; are her son-in-law, Mark Safer; her grandson, Hugo Emanuel Safer; her siblings: Awtar K. Hoonjan, Hardeep K. Channe, Baljeet Suri, Mina Gata-Aura, Kiran Ranhotra, Shally Singh Suri; beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and countless friends. Near and dear to her heart,
through almost all stages of life - The Abrams Family.

Preceded in death by brother Satwinder Singh Suri, and sister Brijmohan Kaur Phull whose memories we will forever cherish.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10:00 - 11:00am at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home. Cremation will be private for the family at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Rd Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. Concluded by prayers held at Garden State Sikh Association Gurdwara, 977 Washington Valley Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
