Obituary of Howard B Forgione
Howard ”Howie” Forgione of Bernardsville passed away peacefully at home on June 2nd , surrounded by his loving family. Howie was born and raised in Bernardsville where he lived out his life.
Howie was pre‐deceased by his father, Savario Forgione, his sister Nancy Mouldon, and his mother Marjorie Cross whom he cherished. Howie leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Deborah Johnson Forgione. As well as his 3 children, Dawn Seccamanie and her husband Jon, Jason Forgione, Alyssa Forgione, and her husband Curtis. Howie also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren, Taylor, Jayden, Justin and Michaela. As well as his mother‐in‐law, Lois Johnson.
Howie & Debbie were inseparable. There was rarely a time you would see one without the other. They enjoyed their many trips to Florida with their dear friend Monica Aerstin. Every year they took their family to the Jersey Shore where they built precious memories. One of the greatest legacies that he leaves behind, is the true love that he and Debbie shared. On the rare occasion, when no one could find him, the first place we would look was “the yard”. We would find him hanging out with his cousin and best friend, Eddie Forgione, and the rest of the guys.
One of his favorite pastimes was watching his grandchildren enjoy their activities. Howie spent many hours’ on the ball fields, at dance recitals, and music concerts. He had special nicknames for each grandchild, and inside jokes with them all. He was so proud of each of them. At the end of every marking period you could find Howie giving out $20’s for every A they got. To them, he was the coolest “Ampa” a kid could ask for.
Howie worked in sales for Tilcon for many years. He enjoyed reminding his family constantly about every load of stone, or blacktop job he had his hands on. He loved his fast cars, from his corvettes to his newest addition “His Porsche”. He spent many hours detailing them and racing around the back country roads with Debbie riding shotgun.
Everyone who crossed his path had a funny story to tell about him. Even until his final days, he was busting our chops, and making us laugh. Howie will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.
