Obituary of Anthony Cimmino

Anthony “Tony” Cimmino, 76, of Easton, PA, passed away on April 23, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30th at St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Rd, Baskin Ridge, NJ. Visitation will take place at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S Finely Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ on Friday, April 29th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. 

 

Tony was born in Paterson, NJ to Anthony and Victoria Cimmino on March 9, 1946. He graduated from East Side High School and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada.  During his time there he served in the Nevada Army National Guard.  He worked as the Director of Events for Manhattan Center for 28 years. Prior to that, he spent several years as the Director of Catering/Events at various renowned properties in New York including the Helmsley Palace, Hotel Pennsylvania, the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza Times Square, the Glen Island Casino, and the Bear Mountain Inn.  Early in his career he owned a restaurant in Elmwood Park, NJ naming it “Cimmino’s.” He enjoyed real estate investment and was landlord of various single-family properties throughout his life.  He loved fast flashy sports cars and sci-fi television.  

 

Tony is survived by his wife Robin; children: Thea (Dean), Anthony, and Giovani; sister: Linda (Rob); sisters and brother-in-law: Jackie (Albert), Tammy (Scott), Joe (Jenn); nephews and nieces: Kyle, Devin, AJ, Justin, Robert, Danielle, Faith, Olivia, and Joey; and dear friend of 53 years: Al Brody of Las Vegas, NV.
