Obituary of Patricia Sweet

Patricia (Patti) Esoldi Sweet, 63, of Cana, VA passed away on December 21st, 2021. Patti was born in Stirling, NJ to Louis and Mary (Rossi) Esoldi on November 29th, 1958. She was a graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School and went on to study accountancy at Seton Hall University. Patti worked as an accountant in several businesses throughout her lifetime and also taught business classes at a county college in Nevada. However, among her many work experiences; she especially enjoyed her time working at Disney World in more recent years. Patti moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1981 where she married her husband, Steve, and raised her two sons. She was a devout Catholic who was a catechist and served in the funeral ministry of Christ the King church in Las Vegas. Patti and her family later moved to Little River, SC for several years before settling in Cana, VA. Patti loved making crafts, decorating her home and traveling with her husband by RV, especially to Williamsburg, VA. She enjoyed spending time with her family and planning family gatherings for the holidays. But, most of all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and helping anyone in need. Patti is survived by her husband of 35 years, Steve Sweet, two sons, Louis (Shelby) and Steven (Stephanie), grandchildren, Elizabeth and Louis, Jr. (Louis and Shelby) and two sisters, Mary Lou Nardone and Kathy West. Patti also had several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who adored her. She is predeceased by her parents Louis and Mary Esoldi, and her siblings Linda Farrell and Lawrence Esoldi. Services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 250 Bebout Rd., Stirling, NJ. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00- 11:45am. The Funeral Mass will be at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, Chestnut St., Stirling, NJ. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to offer a donation, it may be made to her family who will be starting a patient advocacy fund in Patricia Esoldi Sweet’s memory.
