Don was my treasurer for years at our stroke support group based in Madison, NJ, the North Jersey Stroke Discussion Group. He is unforgettable still, fun loving, outgoing, immaculately dressed, always saying something uplifting. I miss him. George Witterschein, Mendham, New Jersey

Lived next door to Don with scott in ridge.
Remember meeting him amd instantly talking soorts and when he found out I coached college baseball we instantly hit it off. Then we would continue to see each other at NJ high school athletic events.
I always remember his passion and his sincere interest and the joy of amateur sports. Always there rooting me and my teams on as well.
Such a classy guy …!

So sorry to hear of Don's passing. A great man all around, fun to talk to and always smiling. My parents always enjoyed Don, especially on those trips to Williamsport Pa. We have great memories of Don, may he rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

My heart cries for a special friend who will be unimaginably missed. We shared so many Great times together along with his beautiful wife Diane. No one could ask for a better man or friend. While we understand that God makes no mistakes, it is the family he left behind that we must embrace during this very sad and enduring time. May God continue to bless you and your family with his grace and mercy. Big Don, gone never forgotten. Love Phil

Big Don! Anybody that hear that knows who we are talking about! The biggest sports fan I have ever met. He brought me back tee-shirts from the College World Series, the Little League World Series, college football bowl games and the list goes on. We went many years to HS basketball championship games and he knew every big player and every coach. Damn, I’ll seriously miss that man. We used to go to Mets games at Shea (then Citi) and he used to get us in for $5 and then get the ushers to sit us down by the dugout in the $200 seats! All the women loved Big Don, and he was every guy’s buddy. He was always there for you too, no matter what. We love you and will miss you, Big Don! Now go watch some sports up there! I know you are!!
