I had the honor of working with Benay for over 10 years in the Finance office. We laughed, cried and kept each somewhat sane during those years. She was my friend and coworker and loved her family like no other. Oh the great stories she told me of her life. I shall never forget my dear friend Benay and will miss her terribly. Rita McGuire

Dear Reese, Janet, Meghan & Ryan,
We are so incredibly sorry for your loss. Words cannot describe our sympathy. Grandma Benay was like a grandmother to Louise. We recall the gift of books, visits & love she showered on Louise. Rebecca especially recalls Louise’s first Thanksgiving, where Grandma Benay spent hours with Louise, helping soothe her & help Rebecca. She will be greatly missed by our whole family.
Sending you all love during this incredibly difficult time.
Mark, Rebecca & Louise Gaynor

Dear Reese, Janet, Megan & Ryan - I am so very sorry to hear of Benay’s passing and remember her with great affection. We worked together in Berkeley Township until my retirement and continued to see each other thereafter. I loved hearing the stories of her beautiful grandchildren after she spent time with you. I know she is leaving a big hole in your hearts but you can be content knowing that she loved you all so much. Rest In Peace my friend, Benay.

Dear Reese Janet Megan and Ryan I am so sorry for your loss. Benay and I became friends about 14 years ago when Megan was born and that friendship grew through Ryan‘s birth. Whenever we cross pass and I and I would chuckle with pride about our joint family Fitz Patrick‘s. As grandparents we always recognized how wonderful your family is. We also sgreed with laugh “yeah we probably wouldn’t have done it that way but this way seems better.”Truly saddened that I lost my friend Benay a wonderful grandma and a proud mother.
Sincerely PaPa Tom Gaynor

A true friend in every way. Too many times I reached out to her to say, “I was wondering if you could do me a favor” and her answer was always the same “ of course I will”, without even knowing what I was going to say. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with her traveling, long days on the beach, too many dinners to count. Loved her quirky personality, and she was such a good sport when I would tease her about her being a perfectionist from her appearance to her work ethic. Her son and his family were the loves of her life. Her grandchildren were her treasures that she adored.
Rest In Peace my dear friend.

So sorry for your loss.
Benay was a great friend and was always there to listen when times were tough.
She talked about those girls all the time and I loved the pictures that she shared.
I have missed her since she retired and I am really sad that we never got together like we thought we would.

I met Benay while working at the Berkeley Township Town Hall. We were bought Jersey City gals and we had a special bond. Although I worked in another department she took me under her wings and guided me in all aspects of Treasury her department. She did this in true Benay fashion and if I did not dot my I’s or cross my T’s there she was at my desk felling me to correct it, I was not getting away with that not with Benay. To this day I am so grateful for everything she taught me. We also would like to get together for trips to A.C this was a time to enjoy each other’s company away from work. Life has blessed me with a dear friend and you will be truly missed. My condolences to your family and may they have beautiful memories and peace knowing your resting peacefully.

My strong & feisty mother-in-law, super-Grandma to the girls, and cheerleader. Benay was all these things and more to me. Her spark was taken from us far too soon and we will miss her dearly. Rest in peace, Benay.
