Obituary of Irena Kuzniar

On May 13, 2021 Irena Kuzniar passed away peacefully from complications of Alzheimer’s and stroke. She was 81 years old. Born in Poland, she immigrated to the United States in 1997 to be close to her children and grandchildren after the loss of her husband. Nevertheless, she remained in close contact with family and friends in Poland throughout her life. She was very active in her community despite the language barrier and her hearing loss, and she lived independently at Ridge Oak Senior Housing in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, for the past twenty years. A loving mother and grandmother, Irena was an excellent baker and cook. Her creations were the highlights of every birthday and holiday dinner over the years. Irena is survived by her daughter Agata, her son Slawomir, and three grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be held on June 28, 2021, 10 am at the Saint James Catholic Church, 184 South Finley Avenue in Basking Ridge.
