Obituary of Phyllis Fessler

Phyllis Fessler, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, left this world on April 11, 2021. Phyllis was born to Samuel and Theresa Romano on May 18, 1937 in Orange, NJ. She grew up with her loving sister Marianne Iandiorio. On February 11,1962, Phyllis married the love of her life, Max Fessler. Max and Phyllis were married for 56 years. Together they had 2 children, Jeffrey and Sharon. Max and Phyllis loved travelling, the beach, and most of all each other. Their love story and devotion to each other touched everyone who knew them. Above all else, Phyllis loved spending time with family. Her eyes lit up every time she saw her grandchildren, Zachary, Lily, Rachel and Erin. She was adored by her daughter-in-law Jennifer and her son-in-law Brian. Phyllis was as strong as they come, and battled many health issues throughout her life with acceptance and grace. Her positive attitude and enduring faith was an inspiration to all. A family funeral service is scheduled for Friday, April 16, 2021 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
