We all loved Jerry. We have been connected since ‘79. He will always be in our hearts. His mentoring will be missed. He was a great contributor to the society in many different ways! We need more Jerrys around us to add to the quality of life. Jerry symbolized peace and harmony among us, and ourselves with the environment Quiet, humble by nature, he guided us as the first generation immigrant family. And made a difference in our lives! And off course, our Golden Retriever, Max knew Jerry!! He and his family are in our prayers….Aruna, Prem, Pooja, Darshan and Sakshee Pungaliya, 241 Morris Ave.

I knew Mr Uhrig for 45 years. Always happy to see me, kind and generous with his attention love and care. A brilliant man who doted on his 10 kids and 14 grandchildren. The "leader of the band" in every way, with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He always had the time to hear you out and never hesitated to extend a helping hand. I will miss and never forget the warm, comforting smile of Jerry Unrig. God rest his soul.

I have very fond memories of Mr Uhrig. I 1st met him in my youth through his children and always admired their closeness as a family.
In my adult life, I got to know Jerry as my favorite customer while working in the service department at Saturn. I looked forward to speaking to him every 3000 miles when he’d bring his car in for oil changes. We’d talk about what his children, and mine, were up to. He was always very upbeat and made me smile. It was a good day when he’d come in.
My heartfelt condolences to the entire Uhrig family. Jerry was truly one in a million! May he rest in paradise. ❤️
