Obituary of Edward T Donovan

Edward T. Donovan, 85, of Basking Ridge passed away at Morristown Medical Center on February 24, 2021. Edward was born and raised in NYC where he remained until his move to Basking Ridge 24 years ago. He was a graduate of St. John’s University and law school. Edward worked as a lawyer for AIG, NY. He loved to travel the world, read about history and science and listening to Frank Sinatra. Mr. Donovan proudly served his country in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. Edward was a parishioner of St. James Church, Basking Ridge. Mr. Donovan is survived by his loving wife, Donna of 34 years, son Thomas (Brooklyn) and daughter Patricia (Weehawken). He is predeceased by his first wife Patricia in 1983. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, 10:00am at St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
