Obituary of Patricia K Hall
Patricia K. Hall of Basking Ridge passed away peacefully on February 9, 2021 at the age of 93.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents Richard and Ruth Kenzel in 1927. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Whitefish Bay, WI where she enjoyed the shores of Lake Michigan. While attending The University of Wisconsin, she met the love of her life, Charles Hall and married in 1950. They lived in Illinois before moving to Basking Ridge in 1956.
Patricia was an active parishioner at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and served on the Altar Guild for many years. She worked for the Bernards Township Library for twenty years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed spending her summers in New Hampshire and Rhode Island, reading, knitting, gardening and especially baking. She was well-known for her desserts!
She was the loving mother of Richard (wife Linda) of Basking Ridge, James (wife Patricia) of Pt. Pleasant and Margaret Jewson (husband Bernard) of Basking Ridge. Patricia was the proud Grandmother to Kyle and Joshua Sevits, Patrick Hall, Bernard Jewson III, and Great-Grandmother to Isaac. She is also survived by her brother Jay Kenzel of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was deeply loved by her family and she will be missed by all who knew her. Interment will be private. A celebration of her life will be held in her honor at a future date at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge when it is safe to gather.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her memory to the Basking Ridge Fire Company, P.O. Box 326, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
