Obituary of Helen V Cox

Helen V. Cox, 91, formerly of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021 surrounded by her family. Helen was born February 17, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Pellegrino Napolitano and Rose (Fierro) Napolitano. She was married to the late W. John Cox from Fivemiletown. Northern Ireland. Helen was raised with her surviving sister Marie (Napolitano) Corso and her brothers the late Carmine Napolitano and the late Anthony Napolitano. She had many aunts, uncles, and cousins all around their neighborhood. After graduating Tilden High School she worked at Barclays Bank Int., New York, NY, where she met her husband John. They had two children Lori, and Jeff. The family moved to England and later settled in Basking Ridge. Helen was an active member of both St. James and the Shrine of St. Joseph Rosary Societies for many years. She served as a volunteer for the M.S. swim programs. Helen is survived by her daughter Lori, son Jeff, her grandchildren Anthony, and Jennifer Gagliardi with a great grandchild on the way, her sister Marie Corso, her nephews Dr. Greg Corso, and Dr. Mark Corso and her twin nieces Andrea (Napolitano) Cassidy and Toni Rose (Napolitano) Hatton. Helen’s smile, generosity and dedication to her will always live in our hearts.
