Obituary of Jack Donald Miller

Jack Donald Miller, 82, of Covington, PA passed away September 23, 2020 after a brief illness. Jack was born September 5, 1938 in Somerville, NJ to Albina and Raymond Miller. He was a member of the Bernards High Class of 1956. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1960. After serving in the Air Force, he was employed by New Jersey Power & Light (JCP&L) as a lineman. He also worked for the Borough of Far Hills as a special police officer from the 1960’s through the 1990’s. He finished his career with the Franklin Township, Somerset County, NJ school district as a school resource officer. He enjoyed fast pitch softball, the outdoors, fishing, and golfing. He was also a mason with the Condon-Overlook Lodge #163. Jack is survived by his son, Glenn (Lacey), daughter, Amy Fitzpatrick, brother Raymond (Karen), nieces Christine and Stephanie, and brother Allen (Mary Lou). Jack had a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was especially close with his cousin Buster and wife Linda. Funeral Services will be held at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 12:15 pm and officiated by Father Jay of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bernardsville. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 PM prior to the funeral service.
