Rest In Peace Uncle Albie. You were always kind to me. You reminded me so much of my dad Mario. Thank you for being there for me when my dad past away. I am so grateful that you and uncle John were able to meet my son Evan a few years ago. I will never forget my favorite uncle. With Love Joe Latino-Christenson

Just learned of Al's passing and I am heartbroken that I will never see him smile or hear him laugh again. Al was one of the first faculty members I met when I was hired at St. E's in 1976. Our classrooms were directly across the hall from each other. He was also the last person to be with me as I left the building, helping me out with all of my belongings to take my last ride home from Seney drive, as my daughter would be born in January, and I was not returning after Christmas. Al was always the perfect t gentleman, making sure all of us ladies were seated before he took a seat, and trying to pay for us if we went out after school. He was very wise, and always told us"Nothing succeeds like success." He also always said he was going to go off and become "a sheep herder in Montana". Al had a very strong sense of right and wrong as a most highly principled person. He was also a lot of fun and had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh, and I never saw him laugh harder than he did when we presented him with his 40th birthday present ... he's chuckling about this in heaven right now. Al made a great Fonzie in one of our talent shows and strutted across the stage as we sang a fifties song. So many memories ...such blessings we all had in one another ... Betty, Marylu , Cathy , Therese, Nancy, Kathy, and you, Al. You were the best! Love forever, Christine Carlson Mulligan

I only knew him as one of the Eucharistic Ministers at OLPH. He was clearly a man of great faith and I know he is resting in God's care.

Oh, so sad, cousins, spouses and offspring...but what a long awaited celebration is happening in heaven right now. Who hugged him second, I wonder?

Remembering our long talks about the family and how kind and willing they were to share meals with others during hard times. I will always remember our conversations as you taught at St. Elizabeth and I taught at Stanhope Public School. A very remarkable and admirable, "Uncle Albie"

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Latino (Albie). I remember him from 1960-1962 as my coach at St. Eve's. Always there, always working, not one bad memory other than lots of laps! A kind giving soul. Thank you from afar. Jim McNeely

What a wonderful role model you were for so many of us. As a coach you taught us much more than than the fundamentals of basketball; you taught us the fundamentals of life. The Saints reflected your character, commitment to hard work, discipline, competitiveness, and sportsmanship. You were a wonderful friend to Monsignor Torney and I was so glad that Tom and I got to take the two of you to a Yankee game.
My sincerest condolences to Mark and his family. I am certain you know how proud he was of you and your success in Florida.
Rest in Peace Coach and thank you from one of the many players your life positively impacted.

Al was a wonderful man. Always such an inspiration to his students, he was also a friend and neighbor to so many. My love of history was due in part to his classes as well an the conversations he and my dad would have over the years. He and John Grof were such great guys, and Garibaldi St. will never be the same without them. Al enriched the lives of so many children in the course of his career. My heartfelt condolences to the family.
