My life was forever changed the day I met Robert Quade as he watched me teach a class with Joe Pizzo. It was on this day that Robert Quade talked me into going back to school. In May of 2010 at the age of 48 I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Centenary College, Robert Quade's Pride and Joy! I could never thank this amazing man enough for the caring and perspective he showed me during the years we got to know one another. I feel truly blessed and grateful for having had Robert Quade as a part of my life. He will be deeply missed but NEVER forgotten!

Professor Quade was always one of my favorite people at Centenary College. We were his first class, and there were many times I remember sitting in his office, talking about my future and my classes with him. The passion he had of his stories of J&J at 8 am were something I will always remember! LOL Professor Quade, thank you, for having such compassion for all of your students. You've touched more lives than you could ever have imagined!! Rest In Peace. My love and sympathies go out to his family, and to all of his students, who will miss him terribly!!!

Professor Quade was one of my advisors and my professor at Centenary College. I have very high regard for him as a person as well as an advisor and professor. Professor Quade really enjoyed working at Centenary and this showed. He was an excellent professor that truly wanted all his students to succeed. This was clearly evident in the way Professor Quade devoted his time and effort towards his students. Each sports season he made an effort to attend one home game for each of the Centenary athletic teams. Since we didn't have a home course for cross-country he even made the trip to an away cross country meet each year. He had a sense of humor and a smile I will always remember. I will miss Professor Quade as he has been a great influence and has made a very strong impact on my life as well as the lives of very many Centenary students and athletes.

I know that we never lose the people we love, even when they have passed. They continue to participate in everything we do because, like Bob, they leave an indelible mark on our memories. When I visited with Bob a few weeks ago, I felt comforted, knowing that my life had been enriched by having shared some time with him over the last 13 years at Centenary. Thank you Rita and family for having shared Bob with us.

Prof. Quade, Thank you for being a Professor in the class room, a teacher of life outside the class room, a supporter to those in need of guidance, A wrestling supporter, and most of all a friend. Thank you.

Professor Quade was an inspiration. I had the pleasure of having him for Statistics, as an Advisor for "Life Learning Credits" and a Mentor. He made a boring subject interesting, and his passion for teaching and Centenary College beamed with his infectious smile. The world has lost a very special man, and he will be deeply missed.

Although I only had the pleasure of Bob's friendship through emails and phone conversations, we were best friends in our efforts to bring literacy to Ethiopian children. As a volunteer for Ethiopia Reads, I came to know Bob through his determined work to supply books for Caitlin's Peace Corps library in Adet. Bob's never-give-up attitude moved books across oceans and mountains and into the hands of eager readers. As I visited Ethiopia Reads' libraries in Ethiopia last week, I knew Bob's footprints
had left a lasting mark not only for today, but for generations of Ethiopian children in the future. I will cherish his witty email messages and spirited conversations. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and one woman on the Kansas prairie. He was truly a Reading Angel. God bless you all.

Since 1992, Bob Quade was a wonderful mentor to me at Centenary College. I learned a great deal from him about teaching at the collegiate level, as well as preparing my students for the challenges that would face them once they graduated. The greatest lesson I learned from Bob, however, came in the form of a gift that had originally been taught to me by my parents. By his example, Bob taught me that every person has worth. It is our duty each day to help each person to celebrate his/her own worth. Bob has epitomized the traits of a true gentleman.
Your legacy lives on in all our hearts, Bob.

I first met Professor Quade at Centenary in the fall of 1993 with my son, Michael Kelly. Their passion for wrestling was evident from the start. Michael's years at Centenary (1994-1999) were filled with wonderful experiences that included classes with and mentoring from Professor Quade. I am thankful that Michael and I had the opportunity to know such a great man. He always called me "Mama Kelly." Sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to Mrs. Quade and the family.
