Obituary of James Joseph O'Donnell

James J O'Donnell Sr., 87, of Somerset, NJ passed away on Monday May 28, 2012 at King James Care Center, Chatham, NJ. He was born in Astoria, NY January 11, 1925. James served his country proudly in the 10th Mountain Division where he fought in 3 major campaigns during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Masters degree in Banking and Finance and went on to work as the Vice President of Chase Bank for 35 years retiring in 1981 He was a Loving father to his three children, James, Jr.(Jacqueline); Thomas P. (Carol) and Kathleen J. O'Donnell and loving grandfather to his grandson Michael (Suzanna) O'Donnell and granddaughter Carolyn (Glen) Gillish. James was pre deceased by his loving wife of 65 years Jane M O'Donnell in February 2012. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday June 1, 2012 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
