Janice C. Thuring, 88, of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away on Friday May 25, 2012 with her loving family at her side. Janice was born on May 6, 1924 in Merchantville, NJ. She also lived in Haddonfield, Margate, Kearny, Chatham, and Basking Ridge before moving to Fellowship Village four years ago. Janice was devoted to her family and was a friend to many. Janice was married to the late Honorable Joseph M. Thuring, a Superior Court Judge who presided in Jersey City. They were married in 1944 after meeting at a USO dance in Atlantic City during WWII. She is survived by their children Richard and his wife Claudia or Huntersville, NC, Patricia Gilbreth and her husband Peter, of Basking Ridge, Robert and his wife Margaret of Spotswood, and Suzanne Auletti and her husband Robert of Basking Ridge. Known to many as Nana, she is survived by 10 beloved Grandchildren: Gretchen Prione, Alyssa Schuchard, Jeffrey Gilbreth, Amy Krimmel, Robby, Shannon, Brian and Erin Thuring, and Alexa and Matthew Auletti. She is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
