Obituary of Terrence K Schroeder

Terrence Koepp Schroeder was born on August 2, 1945 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin before entering the United States Marine Corps, with whom he proudly fought in the Viet Nam conflict prior to being honorably discharged in 1975. He followed the Marines’ mantra, Semper Fi, for the rest of his life. “Terry”, as he was known to family, friends and colleagues, was an avid mariner, hunter and target marksman, an afficionado of rare Ferrari automobiles, and a loyal Ford truck owner. He was a certified Ship’s Master with the United States Merchant Marine and the captain of his own vessel, the “Midnight Express”. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs. He was a New Jersey Wildlife Rehabilitator for many years. Before forming his own company, SWCE, Inc., he worked for Memorex, AT&T and Arthur Andersen. Through SWCE, Inc., he was awarded numerous patents by the United States Patent Office in technologies relating to guidance systems operations, supercritical fluid enrichment of radioactive isotopes and extraction and detection systems and methods through the use of mass spectrometer technology. He was also respected for his expansive knowledge of Federal tax law. Terry spent most of his adult life living in Bernardsville, New Jersey, but had recently relocated to Cape May County. He is survived by his soulmate, Nancy Richter, his brother, Bruce Schroeder, dear friends and colleagues, and his beloved feline companion, Tiger.
