Obituary of Arthur E. Story

Arthur E. Story, Sr., age 87, passed away on May 19, 2012 following a short illness. Born in Stigler, OK, he moved to NJ after serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII. While in the Navy, was awarded a Bronze Star. Art was retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and recently earned his 60 year pin. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, woodworking and summers at the shore. "Grandpa Story" was loved by all who knew him. Art will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Ocie; brothers, Robert and Odel Story; sister, Beulah Sampson. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Evelyn(Frankosky); 2 sons, Arthur, Jr., (Susan) of Newtown, CT and Keith (Donna) of Piscataway; 3 grandchildren; Elizabeth Story, MD, William and Patrick; 1great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister; Fay Ary of Broken Arrow, OK and brother; Jesse of Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will be held on Wed. May23, 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge NJ. A funeral service will be held on May 24 at 11:00AM at theFuneral Home.
