Peggy was born November 24, 1943 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was the daughter of Mary Anne Jamieson and William Basil Moriarty. She attended Catholic school at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Halifax Nova Scotia. She then attended college at St.Francis Xavier in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.

She is preceded in death by her husband Don Woronecki but survived by her former spouse John Cameron MacDonald.
Although she lived in New Jersey for many years, her heart was always in Nova Scotia.
Peggy grew up on Pt. Pleasant Drive in Halifax, and knew bliss as she exercised her horse Brian in Pt. Pleasant Park, adjacent to her home. She had many friends from her school days to whom she was generous and faithful, and was beyond thrilled to go back for school reunions the past few summers.
Peggy was riding a Clydesdale with her grandchildren just 5 months ago. She was a huge lover of all animals and made many charitable donations to animal causes. She sponsored AA participants for over 35 years. She enjoyed playing tennis, was an avid gardener, and a great neighbor.
