Barbara was an amazing lady. Teaching Sunday school for 72 years, seeing pastors come and go, and maintaining a sense of humor all that time. I was mentored in many ways by this humble servant of God. She will be missed! Peter Pendell

From the time I started attending Millington Baptist Church, I remember going into the Women’s Sunday School class and seeing Barbara. I knew in my heart just by looking at her that she was loving and a true believer. Because of this, I felt drawn to her as I had recently moved to NJ from my only home in VA and missed my dear Christian Mom so much. Barbara had the same appeal, a loving appeal that also matched my dear Christian aunts I had grown up around who had a solid faith in the Lord. I immediately went to her introduced myself and got a warm hug! It felt like home!! From then on those hugs would save me, lift my spirits and comfort me. I’ll always remember her, I’ll always be thankful for her and I’ll always try to emanate her walk with the Lord and her love and giving of self for others. She is a true patriarch. Now, she’s home with the Lord Jesus who she taught us so much about. Until we meet in heaven dear Barbara, your memory will always be in my heart.
