Obituary of Malti Kathuria

Malti Rajesh Kathuria, 70, of Pennington, New Jersey, passed away on November 4, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Chapel, 95 Mt Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ, 07920 on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Committal Service will start at 11:00 am in the chapel. Prayer Services will be held at Gurdwara Sahib, Garden State Sikh Association, 977 Washington Valley Road, Basking Ridge, NJ, from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM. Malti was born in Delhi India to Dewan Singh Gulati and Agya Kaur Gulati, on September 8, 1949. She worked as a Psycho-Therapist/Clinician for the Veterans Administration for twenty-nine years. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Malti is survived by her daughters Aparna April Galilio of Pennington New Jersey, and Cherie Ragini Soni of North Potomac Maryland, and her grandchildren Jai Rony Galilio, Monica Ashna  Soni, Shaan Devan Soni, Nicolas Raj Galilio, and Dillan Krish Soni. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rajesh M. Kathuria.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Clyde Barker Transplant House - In Memory of Malti Kathuria, 3940 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19104. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the staff at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and especially the Transplant Team. We are grateful for all the love, kindness and support that has been extended to family, during the past several months. You have all made this journey bearable for Malti, as well as her family. Malti lived selflessly and was always there to help anyone in need. Her love for humanity was evident in all that she did. Whether it was lending a supportive ear during difficult times, or celebrating victories big and small, she made everyone feel loved and cherished. We are grateful for having her in our lives and she will be missed.
