D. CAROL FRICKE D. Carol Fricke, nee Basse, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, died at home onApril 25, 2012. Beloved wife of George L. Fricke for 62 years, devoted mother ofDeborah Susan Burger and her husband Todd, of Lexington, Massachusetts and Stephen Carl Fricke of Greensboro, North Carolina.Loving grandmother of Jessica Kaufman, Emily Carlisle, Meredith Doucette, Olivia Burger and ErinFricke. And loving great grandmother of Chloe Jane Kaufman. Zackary Adam Kaufman, and Leah Carlisle Doucette. Carol was a member of the All State Chorus in High Schooland the Montclair a cappella Choir in the 1950's. She graduated from the New York Institute of Dietetics, Madison Avenue, New York and was one ofseven dietitians at the Prudential Insurance Company, Newark, New Jersey. Carol was ordained an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church, Whippany,NJ and was ordained a Deacon in the Presbyterian Church, Basking Ridge where she also was a member of theWomen's Guild, Bride Coordinator and Chairperson of the Historical Records Committee and a member ofthe Elizabeth Circle. Carol was active in Republican politics. She was a County Committee Woman inHanover Township and Bernards Township and was judge of the First District in Basking Ridge formany years. She was past Vice President of The Historical Society ofthe Somerset Hi11s. She was the sister ofthe late Phyllis Linden of Fort Meyers, Florida and thelate Mildred Marion of Whippany, NJ and the daughter of the late Carl Griffith Basse and Dorothy DareBasse. Carol and her husband enjoyed traveling. They visited everystate in the Union, including Alaska and Hawaii (twice), all the major countries in Europe, and the South Pacific. A Memorial Service will be held at the Presbyterian Church,Basking Ridge, NJ on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with a burialin the Church Yard. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the PresbyterianChurch, 1 East Oak Street.Basking Ridge, NJ,
