Obituary of Helen Cornell Koenig

Helen Cornell Koenig was born in Orange, NJ on October 16, 1920, and resided in Bernardsville for the last 50 years of her life. 

She is pre-deceased by her husband Edward L. Koenig, and is survived by four children Glenn C. Koenig of Maynard MA, Holly W. Cornell of Califon NJ, Laurie F. Koenig of Rockaway NJ and Scott L. Koenig of Califon NJ, as well as four grandchildren Ethan Grant, Heather Koenig, Drew Koenig and Ryan Koenig. 

She graduated from Barnard College/ Columbia University in 1942 with a degree in business, and married her husband of 65 years in 1947.  She was a girl scout leader in both CT and NJ for over 50 years, and she was also a member of the Junior League and the D.A.R.   She was passionate about social issues and local government policies, regularly submitting letters to the editor of the Bernardsville News. 

A private service will be held at a later date, and donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Rolling Hills Girl Scout council or a charity of your choice.
