The kind of man who could only have been born on the rarest day of the year, February 29th, Timothy James Brady of Bedminster, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family at what he would insist was the age of 18 (though actually 75 ).

A long-time Basking Ridge resident, Tim grew up in Glen Rock, NJ where enjoyed a youth of hijinks and discovery. There he also met the girl he’d one day marry after she asked him to a 7th grade Sadie Hawkins dance because “he was the only boy tall enough.”

Tim spent his career as an aerospace engineer, choosing to join the field during its heyday in the late 60’s at a time when mankind was focused on mastering flight and reaching the heavens. Tim always wanted to help people touch the stars.

A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend Tim enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In his life he was an amateur race car driver, airplane pilot, lighting designer, music lover, mischief maker, mentor, craftsman and tinkerer. But above all else he was deeply loved by all those who truly knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Joanne, son Darren and his wife Sara, daughter Alayne and her husband Matthew, grandson Duncan, and brother Dan and his wife Mary Ellen.
