Obituary of Morelle E Sweet
With sadness, the family of Morelle E. Sweet, 94, formerly of Ann St, Bernardsville, NJ announces her passing on Saturday, 13th April, 2019, at Fellowship Village retirement community in Basking Ridge. Morelle had worked at Fellowship Village in the sales office shortly after they first opened in 1996, and moved there herself in 2006. She also taught senior fitness classes at several locations in the area after her retirement from Welcome Wagon, where she was an award-winning Regional Manager.
Morelle grew up in northern New Jersey, graduating from Ridgewood High School and Tusculum College, Tennessee. She married Duane Sweet in 1955, and moved with her young family to Bernardsville, where Morelle was active in the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Kathryn (Simon) Brooke, and Lauren; by her grandson David, her sister, Marjory (Tom) Stewart, her niece and nephews and her cousins.
Morelle had a full and active life enriched by friends made through church, travel, bridge, skiing, poetry, work, community service and her love of music and dance. Her life will be celebrated at Fellowship Village, off Allen Rd, Basking Ridge, on Thursday, 18th April at 3:30.
