Obituary of Martha Wyatt
Martha M. Wyatt (Michaelfelder) passed away on January 19, 2019. She graduated from Central School, Stirling, NJ in 1937, and Morristown High School in 1940 and Trenton State Teachers College in January 1944. She taught in Bedminster Twp, Plainfield, and Long Hill Twp. She retired in 1978.
Martha was very active at All Saints Church, Millington. She directed the first Vocation Bible School at All Saints in 1945.
In 1966, Martha joined the Millington First Aid Squad. In 1974, she helped organize the TOP first aid squad. Martha held every office. After volunteering for 34 years as a first aider, then EMT, she retired in 2000. Still active at All Saints Church, she became a lay reader, joined the alter guild and choir for 59 years. She served 36 years as lay reader. In 1947, Martha married David Wyatt. She is survived by two daughters Kathryn Conley and husband John of FL., and Jeanne Wyatt of Stirling, NJ. Also two grandchildren, Kelly Cogill and husband Jim of Westchester, Pa, and Timothy Conley and wife Andre of Los Angeles, Ca. As a great grandma, Martha has Kylie and Isabella Cogill. In retirement Martha was active in the Senior Citizens of Long Hills Twp. She spent the last of her life in Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights, NJ where she died peacefully in her sleep.
There will be a memorial service on Sunday, February 3, 2019, 12 Noon at All Saints Church, 15 Basking Ridge Rd, Millington, NJ 07946. She will be interred at All Saints, next to her husband, David at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Long Hill Twp.
