Obituary of David Noyes
David F. Noyes, 71, of Basking Ridge passed away Friday, November 30, 2018. He was born in Hackensack, NJ on January 27, 1947.
David was a pillar of the community, and he touched many lives in his devotion to helping others. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Bernardsville, the Watchung Hills Coin Club, and a board member of the YMCA in Basking Ridge. He was also Class Treasurer and Chair of Fiftieth Reunion Budget Committee to the Dartmouth Class of 1970. He volunteered at Morristown Medical Center’s Emergency Department, and he was a parishioner at Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church. He was on the Finance Committee of his church and taught Sunday school for many years.
David was an avid skier and tennis player, participating in many USTA tournaments. He had recently retired and purchased a home in South Carolina which he enjoyed with his wife. In retirement, David had rekindled his passion for Bridge. He also had a lifelong passion for his two favorite sports teams, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
David is survived by his wife, Carol Angelson Noyes and his children, Tyler and Amber Noyes and three stepchildren, Brian and Craig Angelson and April Kovalovsky. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Smith and Carl Lisman. David has two nephews and three step grandchildren with another grandchild on the way.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, 11:00 AM at Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Street, Liberty Corner, NJ. Internment will be private for the family.
