Obituary of John "Jack" C Armstrong

John "Jack" C Armstrong, 81, of Millington, NJ, passed away on Wednesday March 7, 2012 at the Morristown Medical Center. Born and raised in Morristown, NJ moving to Millington in 1958 He was the owner of Armstrong Building and Supply in Morristown, NJ for 17years retiring in 1993. Jack was an avoid wood worker and will be remembered for his award winning handmade Christmas decorations. He loved sports and dogs especially his beloved dog Rusty. Jack served his Country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He is predeceased by his parents, three brothers, one sister and his son in law David Hoehn. Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years Marion, his two children Donna Hoehn of Gillette, NJ, John (Caryn) Armstrong, of Cranford, NJ, and four grandchildren, George Hoehn, and John, Michael, and Thomas Armstrong A funeral service will be held on Monday March 12, 2012 at 10:00am at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ followed by interment in the Meyersville Presbyterian Cemetery, Meyersville, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday March 11, 2012 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Funeral Home.
