Obituary of Robert S Bellai

Robert S. Bellai, 78, of Bernardsville passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Morristown Medical Center. Robert was a lifelong resident of Bernardsville and attended Bernards High School and was class of 1959. Then attended Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He owned his own office maintenance and window cleaning business for 50 years. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved his Harley Davidson. Robert was a drummer and was in the same band since high school called “The Good Times”.  He loved to spend his free time with his family and vacationing with his RV on trips.

He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn of 55 years of marriage. They have three children Dawn McCoy and husband Lyle of Chester, NJ, Denise Apgar and husband Lee of Pottersville, NJ, and Michael Bellai and wife Gabrielle of Basking Ridge, NJ. Also survived by his seven grandchildren Jessica, Sarah, Erin, Elizabeth, Vernon, Nancy, and Danielle, one brother Joseph Bellai and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister Gini Bellai in 2014.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, 12:30 pm at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Bernardsville Fire and First Aide Squad,  118 Mine Brook Rd, Bernardsville, NJ 07924.
