Obituary of Patricia C Schlager
Patricia Cruise Schlager, 88, longtime Basking Ridge and Morristown resident died peacefully on Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 at Morris View Healthcare Center in Morris Plains, NJ.
Born in Orange and raised in West Orange, Patricia (Pat) graduated from West Orange High School and went on to study mathematics at Brown University and history at Drew University. After marrying, Pat relocated to Morristown where she raised her family while also pursuing a long career in publishing and technical writing. She eventually settled in Basking Ridge where she made many new friends as a resident of the Ridge Oak Senior Housing Community. She enjoyed many wonderful summers at the family cabin on Gardner Lake in Salem, CT, was an avid reader, traveler and animal lover, and supported many animal welfare organizations.
Daughter of the late William Elliott Cruise and Wanda Conrad Cruise, she is survived by her daughter Patricia S. Frank and her husband, Douglas Frank, her son William C. (Chuck) Schlager and his spouse, Frank Mingoria, and her granddaughters Emily Frank and Allison Frank with fiancée Daniel Muller.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 from 12 p.m.to 3 p.m., with the service at 2:15 p.m., at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, N.J.
