Obituary of Ruth Ann Simmons

Ruth Ann Philhower Simmons, 70, of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away on Thursday February 2, 2012 at the Pocono Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY Ruth was raised in New Vernon later moving to Chester and then Millington before finally settling in East Stroudsburg 5 years ago. Ruth Ann enjoyed her 30 yrs of school bus driving in New Jersey. She was a life member of the Long Hill First Aid Squad and helped out with many of the fund raisers for them and the Fire Department. Ruth is survived by her significant other William Ochely, her two daughters Mary Ann Beltz, of Berkeley Heights, NJ, Deborah Cochrane of New England, and two grandchildren Gabrielle Cochrane and Marc Robert Beltz and her 3 nieces and nephews Lisa, Joe & John Simmons. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ruth's name to S.A.R.A. Inc "Summit Animal Rescue Association Inc, PO Box 124, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922 or Meyersville Presbyterian Church.
