Obituary of Patricia Katherine McKelvey

Patricia P. McKelvey Patricia McKelvey, 69, of Lopatcong, NJ, formerly a 40 year resident of Berkeley Heights, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012. Visiting will be Thursday, February 2, from 2 to 4 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m., at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ. Pattie was born in Columbus, OH on February 20, 1942 and was raised at the Tabor Home for Children in Doylestown, PA. She met the love of her life, Thomas McKelvey, at a friend's party in the summer of 1968 and spent the next 43 years together happily married. They eventually moved to Berkeley Heights, NJ, where they raised their daughter, Sarah Joy. Pattie was a devoted wife, wonderful mother and loving grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining in her home, interior decorating, and planting beautiful flowers, but her greatest joy was seeing her daughter get married and start a family of her own. She loved her two grandsons, Nathan and Colin, with all of her heart and enjoyed every moment she spent with them. Pattie will always be remembered for the deep love she had for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Sarah, and her husband Adam; grandsons, Nathan and Colin; sister, Nadine; and brother, Gary.
