Obituary of Leo P. Labbe

Leo P Labbe passed away the evening of November 26th. The days and hours preceding his passing were filled with family gatherings and much happiness. Leo was born and raised in Dover, New Hampshire and has lived in Basking Ridge for the past 39 years with his wife Pat and with family nearby. In his early life he attended Dover high school and after graduation entered the Air Force. He went on to receive advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University. He had a full and creative career pioneering new technologies and communications with Bell Laboratories and AT&T. Leo met his wife Pat in high school and shortly thereafter they married and began raising a family. Throughout his full and active life, he enjoyed skiing and tennis but golf was his passion. He spent winters in Florida with Pat and friends and summers on Cape Cod with family. He will forever be remembered as a thoughtful and loving husband and father and an inspiring mentor. Leo is survived by his wife Pat of 57 years, his children Karen, Michael, Lisa and David, eight grand children and his two sisters Jeanne and Lorraine. He will be deeply missed. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday December 2, 2011 at 11:00am at the St. James Church, 184 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge.
