Obituary of Frank L. Petrozzo, Jr.

Bernardsville, N.J. Frank l. Petrozzo, Jr. passed away at home in Bernardsville on October 26, 2011. He was born in Morristown, the son of Frank Petrozzo and Mary Verilli Petrozzo. He attended Delbarton School and graduated from Morristown High School. He joined the Army and served in Fort Lewis, Washington from 1948 to 1950. He moved to Bernardsville in 1951 and started a construction and building business. He worked for Malcolm Forbes, Clarence Dillon and many others. He was active in politics at the municipal, county and state levels and hosted a hospitality suite for Senator Ray Bateman in Washington, D.C. He served for many years on the Bernardsville Board of Health. He met the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and was invited to tea where he was presented with a signed copy of "A King's Story." He was owner of the "Old Mill Inn" and built and managed the motel for many years. He traveled the world. He is survived by his two sons, Frank C. and Peter J. Petrozzo, six grandchildren, one great grandson, his sister Grace Smith and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville. Interment will be private at a later date.
