Great memories of Jim when he used to fly up to Canada and land his Beechcraft Baron next door to Uncle George,s farm on the Zion Line and take us for a flight in his airplane and then the fireworks afterwords for July 1st and July 4th holiday. The many letters and e-mails over the years in correspondence between us. It was good to see you on your one last stop at the 2005 Mc-MacGregor reunion. Sure going to miss you, god bless.

In the years when I worked at the Bernardsville Library it was always a pleasure to see Jim when he came in, to chat about what we were reading, and naturally, all things Scottish. Always pleasant, he typified to me what it was to be a gentleman and a man who took aging in stride and who never seemed to let it slow him down or diminish his interests. And 93 ! What a full life he had. God's richest blessings to his family.

Jim was a great neighbor and terrific family man. His wife, Eileen and daughter Colleen, were proof how wonderful Jim was.

Johanna and I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the McGregor family. Jim and I had many conversations over the years via Amateur Radio and shared emails from the very inception of computers. He later flew up to Syracuse to meet me and that began many years of seeing each other at Reunions and a visit to his home. He and Bonnie are two wonderful and generous people. Jim made our 944 Amateur Radio Net one of the most interesting on the ham bands. He was a good story teller and shared our mutual interests in flying, electronic technology old and new. Some remember working him via Aeronautical mobile on amateur frequencies. He always had time for others and offered help and assistance to everyone.. To me, he was like a big brother. I have one of his radios in my radio station and will remember Jim the rest of my life... He was truly one of the good guys and I was blessed to have known him. May God bless him and may he rest in peace. His Amateur radio key is now silent. 73 and good wishes Jim, Joe (W2FUU) and Johanna Molinaro, Syracuse, NY
