Obituary of Edward A Olesky
Olesky - Edward Morris passed away peacefully on October 4, 2011 in Basking Ridge, New Jersey at the age of 86. Edward was born in Rahway, NJ. He served his country proudly in World War II in the United States Navy, aboard the U.S.S. Ranger. For much of his life, Edward lived in Springfield, then Summit, New Jersey. He attended Syracuse University and worked in the garment industry his entire career, where he last served as President of B. Lippman, Inc. Throughout his life, Edward served in many community and public service positions including: an auxiliary policeman in Springfield, an Explorer Scout Advisor, a Democratic County Committeeman for Springfield, a member and chair of the Springfield Board of Adjustment, a founding member of Temple Sharey Shalom and a member of Temple Beth Ahm's Minionaires. He was also a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Summit, the Rehab Center at Overlook Hospital and served as a teacher for the ESL-Connection at the Summit YMCA. He was an avid golfer and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. His wife, Anne and his three children, Steven, Lisa and Jonathan, as well as 9 grand-children and 4 great grand-children survive him. A Memorial
Service will be held at Temple Har Shalom, 104 Mount Horeb Road, Warren, New Jersey at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 6, 2011, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sage Elder Care of Summit or Overlook Hospital.
