Obituary of Charles Thomas Stumberger

Charles Thomas Stumberger, 65, passed away at St. Joseph Hosp. in Wayne NJ on Sept 19, 2011. He was born in New York City, NY. He resided in Florida from 1983-2003, he then began summering in NJ and spent his winters in Boca Raton, Fl. Mr. Stumberger received his Bachelors' degree from the NY Institute of Technology and his Masters Degree from the University of Miami. He was employed as a Police Officer with New York City Police Department from 1968 to 1976. He then worked for Citigroup and Merrill Lynch in New York City, prior to retiring from the F.D.I.C in Washington, in 1996 after 7years. Charles enjoyed going to the beach when in Florida and took great pleasure in spending time with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Boca Raton, Fl. He is survived by daughters, Dana Marigliano, Basking Ridge, NJ, Danielle Shefsky, Chester, NJ, and a son Darren Stumberger, Middletown, NJ. He is also survived by two brothers, Walter William Stumberger, Hightstown, NJ and Robert Stumberger, Hudson Valley, NY, and two sisters, Dorothy Kelly, West Nyak, NY and JoAnn Manza, Toms River, NJ. A visitation will be held on Wed Sept 21, 2011 2-4 and 6-8 at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thurs Sept. 22 10:00AM at the Church of St. James, 181 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. A second Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Fri Sept 24, 9:30AM at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Boca Raton, Fl.
